Gel-X is a soft gel extension. It's a full-cover tip that's already shaped, attached with gel and cured under a lamp.
It feels lighter than acrylic. It's thin and natural-looking at the cuticle. And it comes off with a soak instead of heavy filing.

What Are Gel-X Nails?
Gel-X nails are pre-shaped soft gel tips that cover the whole nail. We size each tip to your nail, attach it with gel, cure it under an LED lamp, then add color or art. You're getting length and shape in one step, with a lot less filing than a sculpted acrylic set needs.
Short sets, long sets, square or almond: Gel-X handles all of them. For extra-long or stiletto shapes, we'll often steer you toward acrylic because it's stronger at that length.
How Long Does Gel-X Last?
Gel-X usually lasts about 3 to 4 weeks before natural growth starts showing at the cuticle. Then you can soak them off and get a fresh set. If your hands are in water all day, or you're tough on your nails at work, plan on something closer to 3 weeks between appointments.
Don't peel them off when they start to grow out. That's how nails get thin.

Is Gel-X Better than Acrylic?
It depends on what you want. Gel-X feels lighter and more flexible, looks natural at the cuticle, and soaks off without a drill. Acrylic is stronger for very long, sculpted or stiletto sets, and if you're unsure, show us your nails and we'll tell you honestly.

Does Gel-X Damage Your Nails?
Not when it's soaked off. The tips come off without heavy filing, which is easier on your natural nail. Peeling them off at home is what does the damage, so please don't.
Can I Get Nail Art on Gel-X?
Yes. French tips, ombré, chrome, decals and hand-painted designs all work on Gel-X, the same as on acrylic.
Can I Get Gel-X near Lake Nona?
Yes. The Waterbridge studio has our full nail menu, and it's about 5 minutes from Eagle Creek. It opens November 1, 2026, by appointment only, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm.
